Between interest groups and the White House

Mr. Rush Limbaugh

Mr. Rush Limbaugh

Rather than worry about Mr. Limbaugh, liberals and democrats better try and get reigns on their ‘leader’ before we all go broke. Between special interest groups and the White House what are these people trying to accomplish?

After the ‘Clinton years’ one would certainly think that public officials would have learned their lesson; but, no! Now we have the H-a-r-v-a-r-d crowd spewing rubbish all over the place about a totally innocent person who just does his job. According to CNN today, (click here).

Democrats will continue Wednesday to portray Rush Limbaugh as the spokesman for the Republican Party by launching a Web page that mocks GOP leaders for apologizing to the radio host for criticizing or publicly disagreeing with him.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is hosting the page – www.imsorryrush.com which allows visitors to create an apology to Limbaugh on behalf of Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Georgia; South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford; or Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.

Okay that’s about as much as I’m going to take. How soon they forget! Why it wasn’t but a year or so ago when the likes of Senator ‘Dingy’ Harry  Reid and his some 41 cohorts who wrote a letter to Clear Channel demanding that Mr. Limbaugh be fired for something.

Then just as soon as they found out that the “Court of Public Opinion” did not swing their way, ‘ut-oh’ the retraction letter of apology was read in chambers and sent to Clear Channel and Mr. Limbaugh.

“What is so strange about being honest and saying I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundation?” Limbaugh told attendees of the Conservative Political Action Conference that met last weekend in Washington, D.C.

We call that good ol’ fashioned freedom of speech around here. What is wrong with Mr. Limbaugh exercising his very own Constitutional rights?

Just a couple of matters along these lines to share with you: Rush Limbaugh must be either so close to home with the truth about these people or spot on! Why else would the President of the United States, the Senate, and House of Representatives be so anxious to discredit this man?

The statesman cum talk radio host has only been nominated for the Nobel Prize; donated more funds to the United States Marine Corps fallen men and women by providing for scholarships for their children; in addition, he owns a charity that supplies for fallen police officers’ families–it is called The Marine Corps and Law Enforcement Foundation.

To this day he still maintains he’s just a ‘regular guy’ and still manages to surprise listeners with unexpected Super Bowl tickets, and double the amount of the highest bidder to win the auction at Ebay for Dingy’ Harry’s original letter (see here). So, what’s the problem?
