Obama’s promises again..?

We have mentioned in several earlier articles about the notion of getting to yes and how important vigilance is to the objective of immigration reform. Furthermore, we have espoused how important consensus is to decision-making; subsequently, our demeanor here is beginning to run a bit thin insofar as our perspective of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing – or perhaps more aptly – the blind leading the blind simply is going to get us all killed.

Today we ran an article where the United States federal government – in one way, department, or another – is actually providing assistance for foreign nationals to come to the USA and receive pilot training. The day before that we ran a piece that gave mention of people from the Middle Eastern countries changing names, immigrating into Mexico, and then going north on immigration trips to North America.

Therefore today we’re reading how President Obama is espousing that he’ll reconsider regulations newly implemented by the Department of Homeland Security that require Sikh turbans to be searched at airport and border checkpoints in the U.S. First who does this guy think he is? Sorry Mr. President that is why brilliant thinkers such as John Hobbs, Adam Smith, Franklin, and Madison were impassioned about the separation of powers. It would be great for your legacy to remember that.

The Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) recently announced that all turbans will be checked with hand wands 100% of the time at American airports, even when travelers go through new Advanced Imagine Technology machines. The news outraged Sikh groups that claim the policy is intrusive and tantamount to racial profiling. Oh! Get a new excuse, right?

If person balks at every decision trying to be made in the USA for security purposes, then maybe they’d be better off going somewhere else. By the way, does anyone know what a Sikh person looks like? People understand that there are others out there who are 24 years of age, willing to end not only their sex drives and organs, but to end their very lives also. There are people boarding aircraft with explosives in their underwear! (Please see the Coalitions explanation, click here.)

“Targeting turbans for additional scrutiny sends a message to other passengers that Sikhs and their “articles of faith” are to be viewed with suspicion by fellow travelers,” Saldef, Sikh Coalition and United Sikhs (US-based Sikh community groups) said in a joint statement.

Oh get over it already! Nobody is “targeting your turbans.” If your “articles of faith” cause suspicion it is most likely because they are not customarily seen in the USA; furthermore, as far as what is sent as messages to other passengers is really an objective perspective, meaning nobody knows what messages anyone at any point in time is thinking. Therefore, between “racial profiling” and “sending messages to others” is not as you claim — “The policy is a serious infringement on our civil rights and liberties.” (See additional reading here.)

These procedures have nothing to do with civil rights or liberties. This may be a hard concept for you to understand – but these procedures are implemented to guarantee your rights and liberties whilst in our country.
